Guild
FAQ
What kind
of guild is Lucidity?
Lucidity is a Burning Crusade Guild. Our entire focus is
exploring all the new End-Game content the Burning Crusade
has to offer!
What kind
of players are in Lucidity?
Lucidity is comprised mostly of level 70 adult players with
a shared common goal. Having fun and raiding with a
flexible schedule. We want members to participate on the
guild forums and help the guild grow and become one of
Thorium Brotherhood's Premier Raiding Guilds!
What is the
overall focus of Lucidity?
We're looking to have fun! We currently have a great
group of people who are interested in end-game Raiding in a
friendly environment. Lucidity is already making fantastic
progress towards end-game content and will continue to
focus solely on this.
Who is the GM of
Lucidity?
We don't have a GM. Lucidity is a guild comprised of
Officers and Class Leaders who will make joint decisions
with the guild's best interest in mind. This is done so
that we can get multiple opinions before any decisions are
made final.
What is the
job of the Officers and Class Leaders?
• Officer's responsibility include who will join or
will be removed from the guild. Setting up and filling
raids.
• Class Leader's have the responsibility of helping their
class learn. Any questions about gear, spec / talents, etc.
should be directed to the CL's. If any members have any
questions or comments regarding guild policy, it should be
directed to your CL first.
Raid
Loot.
Lucidity uses a system called Swaps. It's a point based
reward system that focuses on distributing loot in a fair
and balanced manner. More information can be found here and here. Initiates, during their
2-week Trial Period, will be allowed to roll on loot
on the basis that it is not an upgrade for a Member.
Once an Initiate is promoted to Member status, all
loot is fair game for everyone provided the item is of
benefit to the specific class and they have the points
to spend. For example: Cloth items go to cloth wearing
classes before anyone wearing leather, mail, or plate
will be eligible to bid. Loot griefing a fellow member
is something that is looked very poorly upon and if a
raid leader determines that a certain member has taken
it too far, they may be removed from the raid.
25-Man
Specific Rules (SSC+)
• BoP Pattens that craft a BoE item will be passed out to
an open raid roll as long as the person may learn the
pattern on the spot. These BoE items will only be made for
guild members.
• BoE Items that can craft a BoP Item will be treated
just as loot and will be auctioned off using Swaps.
• Nether Vortexes are items that are dropped from trash in
SSC and beyond and are required to help craft the patterns
mentioned above. These Vortexes will only be passed out to
members who currently have a pattern that requires the use
of these items. These will be passed out using an open roll
system and once you have won a nether, we ask that you pass
until everyone in the raid has received one. Additionally,
once you have received the minimum amount of Vortexe's to
craft your item, and nobody in the guild is in the queue to
have your unique item made, you will not be allowed to roll
unless nobody else in the raid is in direct need of one.
Bottom line is, we use these patterns and Nether Vortex's
to help progress the guild, and will not be used for
personal monetary (or otherwise) gain. Please be respectful
of your fellow guild mates when rolling and bidding on
these items.
Raid
Policies.
Lucidity expects members to show up on time, prepared,
repaired and ready to go no later than 15 minutes from the
time posted on Raid Ninja. You're expected to be on Vent
and attentive to what the Raid Leader is telling you at all
times. We enjoy having fun and joking around in Vent, but
there are times when complete silence is required so that
the Raid Leader and Class Leaders can help direct the raid
in an orderly manner.
Raid Ninja.
Raid Ninja is the system we've
incorporated that allows us to schedule runs in an
organized fashion to help ensure that we have a proper
group composition that will allow greater success in
raids. By signing up, you are
not guaranteed a spot in a
raid, you're committing yourself to the run and
stating that you will be there, ready to go when and
if you're needed. Many things can affect your spot in
a raid, including your class, spec, gear, performance
based on WoW Web Stats and/or your knowledge of the
encounter, etc. This is a measure that is taken to try
and benefit the raid as a whole, and not one player
over another.
Guild
Behavior Expectations.
Lucidity is a mature guild and we expect all members to act
in such a manner. We will not tolerate any forms of racial
slander, sexual discrimination, Religious bashing or
Political debate to anyone in or outside of the guild.
Members found breaking this rule may be Immediately removed
from the guild, no questions asked.
Beyond that, we ask that all of our members exhibit their
absolute best behavior at all times. This includes, but is
not limited to raid chat, guild chat, general, trade,
forums, etc. Lucidity expects all it's members to be
respectful and courteous to our friends on Thorium
Brotherhood and we will not put up with and childish,
irrational, or insulting behavior towards anyone.
Lucidity
and Alts
We love alts! Keep in mind, Lucidity is a raiding guild and
we have to focus on gearing up our main characters as
quickly as possible. This means that characters who are
classified alts will be allowed to raid on two occasions.
1: If the alt is necessary for the success of the run,
(i.e. healer) 2: The run is not full of mains and the run
can still successfully happen in the event an alt is
requested. Regarding raid loot for alts. If an alt has
accumulated the Swaps points to outbid another member (Main
or alt) on an item, they have earned the right to take the
item. While this does contradict the idea of main's gearing
quickly, it also gives incentive's for alts to help as
well. If they've put in the time to gain the points, they
should be allowed to use them. We just ask that you be
courteous to your fellow members regarding loot.
How do I
join Lucidity?
Everyone interested in joining Lucidity must apply directly
through the website's Membership Application. Of course,
alts are always welcome, but you must have a main
character who is at least level 70 and is advancing
through Outland or other Burning Crusade content.
The recruiting process is very strict for Lucidity simply
because we want players who will fit the friendly,
cooperative and team work driven mold we've created. Once
you've been accepted into Lucidity you are given the rank
of "Initiate" for a 2-week trial period. During this time,
you will be evaluated on your performance, attitude and
drive. After the 2 weeks, the Officers and Class Leaders
will decide if a membership is in order or not. If you are
brought in as a certain class, to fill a specific role, it
is required that you continue to fill that role. i.e. if
you're brought in as a healer, we expect you to say a
healer. If your spec changes without approval from your
class leader, removal from the guild is a possibility.
